My second trip to Sutherland!

Well I'm getting quite used to this Sutherland lark now. I have now notched up another visit to the telescopes with mummy and daddy. This time it actually snowed too! Here you can see me relaxing with mummy and daddy before venturing outside.

Something very special also happened on my trip! My first tooth started to appear! It feels quite strange as you can see!

On our last day, the Sun finally came out and I got to see some springbok. They are very pretty. Mummy also took me to see her telescope again.

Look at me sit!

Mummy is so impressed with me now because I can sit up all by myself, like a big boy. I don't like to brag but look at clever me in the pictures below!

My first trip to Sutherland

Mummy has to work very hard at night at the telescope in a place called Sutherland sometimes. Here you can see me on my first trip to Sutherland. I got to spend several nights in the telescope with mummy which was very exciting. Sutherland is a really long way from home, so long that it takes us 6 hours to get there in the car, and its cold there, as you can see below!

Playing with daddy

Sometimes mummy thinks I can be very serious... but here I just wanted to show you that boys can have fun too!

Easter Run

Well its Easter Monday today, and unlike everyone else who got to spend their day lazing at home eating Easter eggs, we headed over to UCT to take part in the annual 5km fun run/walk. We started off quite leisurely but after keeping up the rear end for quite a while daddy decided that he didn't want us to be last and picked up the pace with poor mummy suffering. It was quite a work out for me sitting in the pram and I thoroughly deserved my nice medal as you can see.

Poorly Chops

Yesterday was a bad day for me. I've had a bit of a rash this week and I woke up with a nasty swollen chin. Mum and dad were quite worried and took me to A & E at the Cape Town medi-centre. The doctors were very nice to me, but I had to have blood tests and nasty swabs taken. We will find out what my rash is soon hopefully. You can see me here with my poorly hand after my blood test. I was very brave and didn't cry at all when they took the blood. Can't say the same for the nasty swabs though!

The Penguins and Cape Point

We took Tessa to see the Penguins at Boulders Beach. Some of them were almost as big as me! We went on to Cape Point, where we climbed up millions and millions of stairs to reach the lighthouse. I was lucky though as mummy carried me all the way!
